Note:The cash wage or basic wage rate is the minimum required employer contribution towards your hourly minimum wage. The "maximum tip credit"  is the amount of tips you will need on top of your cash wage to make the minimum wage of $11.00 per hour. If you do not receive sufficient tips in your workweek to achieve the minimum wage for all hours worked that week, your employer must make up the difference.

Note: Newly hired workers who do not receive tips during their initial training period are not tipped employees - they are not receive more than $20 per month in tips. Therefore these workers must be paid at least the basic minimum wage during their training and any other hours in which they are not receive more than $20 per month in tips.

Agricultural rate: $8.00 per hour

Work on a farm and the growing and harvesting of agricultural, floricultural and horticultural
commodities requires payment of no less than the above-listed rate per hour, except when such wage is paid to a child seventeen years of age or under, or to a parent, spouse, child or other member of the employer’s immediate family.

$15 Starting Wage for Health Care Workers

06/27/15 - Personal care attendants in Massachusetts won an agreement for a $15-an-hour starting wage, the first state-level victory in a nationwide campaign to raise low-wage workers’ pay. The state’s deal with Service Employees International Union Local 1199, which represents the workers, will boost starting pay in stages from $13.38 to $15 an hour by July 2018.

Overtime pay is the cash compensation for the hours eligible employees work in excess of 40 hours in a workweek (a workweek = 7x24= 168 hours). The overtime pay rate is one and one-half (1.5) times the regular working hour rate of pay.

All hours in the work week must be included in the weighted average before determining the blended rate for overtime pay for employees working two or more jobs for one employer. The regular hourly rate is determined by adding all earnings for the week and dividing this total by the numbers of worked at all jobs. The pay is the weighted average of all hourly rates for the different jobs.
