Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates wants to get rid of the federal government's
strict limits on visas for IT workers. The US has an annual quota of 65,000 temporary H-1B visas for skilled workers and 20,000 for foreign students. Last year, all of the visas were snapped up within a couple of weeks, leaving technology companies like Microsoft with a lot of unfilled jobs.
